At the heart of CAE Racing beats a passion for motorsport. Our mission is clear: we want to give drivers the pure feeling of racing – through high-precision short shifters that turn every gear change into a performance experience.
Our drive is to take manual shifting mechanics to a new level – whether on the race track or on the road. We believe that the interplay of technology, precision and emotion decisively increases the joy of driving. That is why we develop short shifters that are not only efficient but uncompromisingly reliable, delivering under the toughest conditions. Only once we are 100 % convinced by our product do we offer it to you.
Our history
CAE Shifting Technology was founded in 2002 with the idea of unlocking the full potential of manual gearboxes in motorsport. Standard shifting systems often have limitations – our CEO/COO and founder Christian Au developed the solution: shorter and more precise shift throws, a robust design and an immediate feel when shifting – the CAE Short Shifter was born.
At our manufactory in Essen, we have been building short shifters for over 23 years, based on feedback from the motorsport community as well as on the racing background of our CEO, Christian Au. Every product generation is developed through real-world testing, close collaboration with tuning partners and continuous customer feedback. Quality, durability and genuine racing performance are our focus.
